The worst customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had my car towed to Town Fair Tire in Brookfield CT after calling in advance and ordering a set of tires due to arrive that day at 3:00 fpr installation. Shortly after the tires arrived I got a call letting me know that one of the tires was damaged by the TFT warehouse and could not be mounted safely on the car. I asserted that the tire should have been inspected before it was loaded for transfer and that this was the second time such a thing had happened to me and I did need my car returned that day and the promised time was before 5:00. I was informed that the tire was in the warehouse 45 miles away in East Haven CT and they had to retrieve it which would take several hours causing a great inconvenience to me. I contacted someone that identified himself as the Director of Customer Service who asked me what he could do. My response was to send someone from East Haven to cut transfer time in half. He refused to do that or put me in touch with his boss. I will never shop there again.

Price match my ***

Something on the highway kicked up and took out the sidewall on my truck while way to dealer for Warranty work. The dealer quoted me $220.00 for the tire mounted and balanced.

Thought that was high to had them mount the spare on the allow wheel so I could shop around for a spare replacement. Found the tire on Tire rack for $175 town fair clamed they would match but they had to order my Size. Tire came in so I dropped of the rim to have the tire mounted. It wasn't till checkout that they informed me of all the extra charges.

Delivery, Mounting, Balancing etc total came out to $220.00 same as the dealer and same as they would have charged me without the match. Strange how that matched exactly.

So I called another town fair asked about the match then gave them a price 15 dollars less they said I would have to bring a printout of the page for them to verify but he would give me a tentative quote over the phone ....and wow low and behold if they didn't come to the same exact price $220.00 amazing. Will NEVER buy tires from these guys I now buy tires from the tire rack go to the depo pick them up and pay $15 a tire to have them mounted and balanced.

Town Fair Tire - Tire Replacement Review from Haverhill, Massachusetts

I had a blown tire and brought my wheel in the Plaistow NH store for a replacement on April 24. The clerk #049M took my order, I paid for the tire then he walked away with another customer who came in with a after me with a fancier car. He totally ignored me walked away and when I asked him about my repair he pretended nit to know. I had to get someone else to help me. This guy was so rude and unprofessional. He took my money then started waiting on someone else who came in after me. Not customer oriented.

Can't align my tires correctly

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We have 4 cars & I've purchased multiple sets of tires at TFT for each over the past 10 years. In 2014, despite 3 visits, TFT claims they cannot align my tires.

In January they sent me to my mechanic because they said they couldn't make adjustments. My bad, I didn't go & in 10 months wore my front tires. In Oct I replaced the tires & TFT again sent me to my mechanic. My mechanic knew WITHOUT ME TELLING HIM I'd gone to TFT.

He told me everything was fine and can be easily adjusted with a hand wrench.

I returned to TFT & they again sent me away a third time this year with tires out of alignment. VERY disappointing.

Bad tires and no help from town fair tire

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought mastercraft tires from town fair tire in Augusta Maine. I have approx 25000 miles on tires. I bought warranty. I started having noise so I took my car to mechanic. I had ball joints replaced but they were not excessively worn. My mechanic drove my car and told me that I needed tires. He told me that the noise I'm hearing is my tires. I went directly to town fair tire. I paid 99.00 for them to balance, align and rotate my tires. They told me that the noise should get better now. My car sounds and feels very unsafe at speeds over 45 mph. I am disgusted. I don't want to do business with them. They only look at me like I'm *** because I am female!

Town Fair Tire - Tires Review from New York, New York

Just at the Topsham store to have winter tires put on. I was yelled at by Rick.

Rick was very rude. I've purchased tires there in the past and have never been treated this way.

They have lost a customer because of the way Rick treated me! I will be telling may friends about my experience!

Bought 4 new tires at Town Fair Tire, around 1000 miles noticed slight noise coming from right front wheel , visually inspected area where noise was coming from found nothing everything looked find thought it was the cv joint . As I drove more the noise became louder and while in a parking lot noticed a lug nut was missing and after inspection found that all the lug nuts were loose .

Picked up a new lug nut at Toyota and went back to Town Fair and while there the manager started pushing my wife around. This incident is now under investigation for assault and battery charges.

Town Far Tire Damaged wheels

Purchased 4 new tires and explained I was worried about wheels being scratched and damaged, they said no problem they would be fine. After starting to work on vehicle a 1/2 an hour after my appointment, they scratched and gouged 3 out of 4 rims!! This is their business, if they cannot do it without doing damage they should not be in this business! The fix was to have someone REPAIR the wheel, nice to bring PERFECT wheels in there and have to end up with repaired wheels! DO NOT USE TOWN FAIR TIRE, they do not care about the customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#^%$@&!@#

Did not honor the warranty

We are a business customer and have used Town fair Tire in Everett Ma to equip our business trucks. We had a problem when One tire had side wall damage. We purchased road hazard on all four tires. Since the driver did not have the original receipt they would not honor the warranty.

This should have been in the Town Fair Tires records since Town Fair sells these exclusively. The manager said there was no record of this transaction. Seems hard to believe when we have equipped all our vehicles at Town Fair Tire.

We will no longer do business with Town Fair Tire.

Scam Artists

I went to Milford TFT last winter to purchase snow tires. First they ordered the wrong winter tire and then tried to upsell me some tire pressure sensor that was "illegal for me not to get" (I knew that this was b.s.) I said forget it, I'll go somewhere else. Then the manager conveniently came by and said "oh, it looks you don't need it after all" I was told I should think about getting new summer tires at some point as the treads are wearing down. ( I knew this anyway, and knew how much life was left in them.) So, I go back to swap the winter and summer tires. This ought to be free. The assistant mgr. comes out and told me that my summers are so bad it's illegal for them to let me out with those on. I would have to buy 4 new tires right then and there. Funny, he couldn't come up with what law he was quoting. After going back and forth, he refused to put on my summer tires. I could, though, get a good deal on tires ( he didn't say which ones) for $60 a tire, they probably were worth 40-50! I said leave the winters on, I'm out of here. Also, if they were so worn that it was illegal to go with them, why didn't someone say something in the winter? Bottom line: don't shop at town fair tire. They are liars and ***

No patch seems ever possible...

Stopped in yesterday to Waterbury for a tire leak. Of course, they couldn't patch it because it was "too close to the sidewall." Isn't it always??? They don't plug like Discount Tire. Why, for a small nail like this, I do not know. "Company policy!" I should have gone to Sears but I bit for a new tire for $88.00. No offer to show whether the nail even penetrated. They showed me the head stuck in the tire and I was too *** not even to question whether that was the cause of the leak. Never again with TFT. They promise a lot but fix nothing and just sell you new tires! If you go, call their bluff and hold their feet to the fire. What we need is a trustworthy competing tire company. Who else is out there?

Horrible Service Techs

Bought 4 Firestone AT tires from Town Fair. Got a good price but got horrible balancing. Went back 4 times, swapped tires out for 4 new ones (same Firestones) and had same issues. Sales rep told me to get my truck looked at. Asked to have the rims spun to match the tires/rims and was told some story about a tire issue not a balancing issue. They just kept slapping more and more weights on the tires rather than actually taking the time to do the job right. I'm now going to a local shop to fix the issues that TF was too inept to fix the first time.

WATERBURY CT - PUT ON WRONG TIRES "by accident"

I called TFT and ordered 4 Kelly tires for my car. I waited them for to install and once done I checked the vehicle and they put on some brand X Chinese tires. After I asked what was going on they did remount them with the correct tires but they must have been in a hurry because they damaged one of the wheel hub emblems. I complained and they offered me nothing. I don't think they rebalanced the wheels either after the switched the tires. Don't let the TV AD blitz fool you, their service stinks, they have unqualified technicians. Do not go there!
