went to Town Fair Quincy Mass. say them at 9 :26 pull my car in and take off the two tires I was getting replaced. At 9:50am the car was ready. I asked if they preformed the front end alignment which I asked for. the salesman Joe tried to sell me the all four tire alignment at check in which I said just the free front end would be fine. I asked Joe if it was done and he said it was that he say then do it. Thing is its not on my bill that it was done and the car still pulls to the right so I know it wasn't done

Deceptive Warranty Practices

Purchased my 3rd set of Goodyear F-1 Eagles for my truck and the Front Right tire developed a bubble on the sidewall within a week. I called and got the "call center" and was told the replacement was covered under the 30 day warranty.

The service center ordered the tire and scheduled an appointment. Arrived for the appointment and got a call from Chris at the Norwalk store who told me the tire is not covered by warranty, the tire was damaged by a road hazard (I doubt that, but am not the only driver of the vehicle). Very condescending towards me and the "call center" accused me of lying, and accused the "call center" of misrepresenting the warranty without any authority. I explained, the call center has as much apparent authority as Chris in the store.

The whole conversation was necessary because miraculously they covered the tire under the warranty and charged me $40 labor.

Capitalism is a great thing, I get to say "Good-bye Town Fair tire, I'm taking my business elsewhere".

I have no reason to lie and certainly don't the aggravation. Next time, I'll pay the dealer the extra few dollars and avoid being treated rudely.

Won't be back

The 4 tires I purchased were on "sale" and the manager reduced the price by a couple of dollars on each tire, below the "sale" price. Sounds like a great deal BUT I was charged AN ADDITIONAL $46 for the "ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY" which I do not want or need. I was told to the refund could NOT be made over the phone. This business is 12.7 miles from my home. I already drove there and back today and I don't feel like sitting in the car for another round trip. Buyer beware! Lynn

Will not honor warrantee

I use the Town Fair Store in Avon CT. I have a 2016 leased Ford C-Max that came with Michelin tires. At 23000 miles the tires are at 2/32". I brought the car to them and they entered a claim with Michelin. The result was Michelin will replace the tires at 40% of the retail cost (plus mounting/balancing and such). The store ordered the tires and now tell me that I have to pay 100% of the retail cost and that Michelin will reimburse me. I read the Michelin dealer procedures on line and found that the dealer is supposed to charge only based on the adjustment. Michelin service called the store and were told that they do not honor the policy if the tires were not bought there. Michelin Customer service was great and we have found another dealer who will honor the Michelin policy. I have been a long time customer of Town Fair but no longer.

I had a tire roation done and stressed to the mechanice to please wear gloves and the proper care to keep my car clean because everytime i have been there my car gets covered in grease. Well i got back in my car today and again it was covered in grease. So i went back inside to let the guy upfront know and he was very rude about it. I simply told him I wanted to show him what the car looked like and he said to me why is it that every time you come in here you want a free detail I told him I am not looking for a free detail I am looking for better customer service in that if they were to wear the proper protective gear and put a steering wheel cover that these problems would not happen he then proceeded to tell me that it was not from his guys mind you I am a female who was there with her 1 year old daughter I was not playing in Grease before going to the tire rotation at 9:30 in the morning. I was very upset with his rudeness. I then called corporate and felt as if she was just trying to shut me up .. And just kept saying yupp okay im sending 25 dollars. Thats great and i appreciate it but i have dealt with this over and over again. I have pictures attatched to this file to show that i am not jist trying to pull one over on you guys. I am very upset and also very tired of this ongoing sad customer service. If possible i would like to speak with the corporate manager as soon as possible.

I don’t see “covered in grease”. I do see a primadonna.

If you want better service you will have to pay for it through your vehicles particular brand dealership. A few brewery prints is t going to kill either you or you daughter. You even post that each and every time you go in there you are demanding a free detailing. Don’t lie now and say you don’t.

A few fingerprints IS NOT worth the full cost of a detailing and you know this. You are taking ANY opportunity you can find to get extra value that you truly do not deserve. A box of tissue for both wipeing off the prints and for your whining is all you deserve. You’re a real piece of work lady.

At some point someone is going to do to you what you have been doing to others. Then we will see a post from you on how unfair it is that it was done to YOU.

You KNOW beyond any shadow of a doubt that you are a serial whiner and you use that to YOUR benefit. It’s wrong and you should really be held accountable for your actions.

False Advertising

DO NOT fall for this scam from Town Fair Tire!!!! Because they do not honor it!! A very rude salesperson at the Topsham, Maine location!! I called and verified that they had the tires I wanted and that they would price match the quote I got from another place of business. They scheduled me for an appointment for the same day. I drove 40 minutes one way only to be told that they would not honor the price. They told me to go to the other place of business that I had received the quote from and get the tires there because they would not honor that price. I tried to explain that the reason I was not getting them from the other business is that it was a 13 day wait for a service appointment to get the tires installed. The sales person just looked at me and said that he did not care that I could pay their selling price or wait the 13 days to get the other tires. I called the corporate office and they stated that they would have the regional manager call me right back. Oh, shocker, no call returned to me. I have purchased most of my tires and my custom rims from them. Not no more I will wait the 13 days and take all my business elsewhere!!!!!

Not only did I wait 3 hours To find out they only had three of my tires . My niece walked all the way back to see if it was done at time they said it woild be done. It was not even in the bay yet . They said they tried to call me . Which they didn’t of course . They lost one of my tires . They offered to put 3 on and have me come back The next day for the fourth tire . That right there tell me they don’t know what they are doing. So they put two on and told me to come back tomorrow and they would get me right in as soon as a bay opened . So I wouldn’t have to wait. So I called to make sure tire was there , it was . Again they said they would get me right in . Well I was not only met with the rudest man ever he was very sarcastic. Unessarly . Turns out he’s the manager Of the store in Keene NH . The person I spoke to the night before said he would make it right by giving me a four wheel alignment. Which made me feel better . Not for long . I was told there was no record of the four wheel alignment . Well the car just came out They put the keys in a slot then left. The manager that I had problems with earlier proceeded to go out back and no one else was at the counter. And there where at least 5 people ahead of me . Knowing how rude he was To me before he was gong to make me wait again . I just took my keys and paperwork and left . This is something that I would not normally do . But I was very upset at this point . I don’t feel that I was treated well considering how much I was put out . I had to drive an hour there and an hour back 2 times . Never Mind the over 3 hour wait the first time and over an hour the second time . I have never been treated so poorly by a customer representative in my life . So if anyone is thinking about going to town fair in Keene, don’t have the floor manager work with you . Unless you like getting treated with total disrespect!! Thanks for letting me rant !

Too bad alignments and a remarkably poor service attitude

The store in Marlborough where I have been going for over a decade in the past couple of months got a different alignment tech and a new manager. On 11/8/2018 I had a 4 series of four or five events in a mere 15 minutes from the most unprofessional manager I have seen in any store. (Lots of details if someone wants to know.) On my car only two components can be adjusted, the camber and the toe. I specifically told him that the camber was way off and that's what I was there for. I got the car back with zero changes to the camber. They didn't say a word - if I had not carefully read the alignment report I would not have realized. I took it up with the manager and was informed that the alignment machine had a broken pin and could not adjust camber at that time. Why did they take my car and take my money then? After a very poor response and he finally said "yeah you can come back and we'll take care of that". On 11/18/2018 I returned and was told that they do not ever align the camber on my car they never have and then it's not a standard adjustment. I have a Saab 9000 with standard adjustable cams in the struts. The alignment text said he had never ever and would not ever do that adjustment on a Saab. I explained it in the records they will see this is been done for years there. this one back and forth for several more minutes and the two are very unprofessional although nobody was yelling. But that is all I can say for them. The manager finally looked it up in their corporate shop manual and found out that he was wrong. They still refused to make the adjustment they have been paid for. I've now wasted 6 hours and $100 and I have to start all over again. But the most intolerable part was how adamant arrogant and rude they were and very uninterested and serving a customer. I softly spoken and gently persistent for only a few minutes. I am disgusted with that store now after all these years of excellent service under several other managers.

Completely incompetent machanics

This company is a joke. *** an whack, definitely double check everything these clowns do .I know people that had there tires an rims fall off while they drove there car. Because they didn't tighten there lug nuts probably.They are not machanics they are just a bunch of young kids ,that have no real training .I also know numerous other people that there hub caps fall of every time they work on there vehicles.On top of that they also screw up the sensors on people vehicles to. Just about five out of every ten car that they do something is not done right.And the VP an upper corporate management is basically *** your pants comical. All they care about is profit, they do not care about the Customer's vehicles or the safety of the customer or even there employers either.The only on upper management an the owners mind is MONEY MONEY AN MORE MONEY.This company is extremely dangerous to do business with I do not understand why they are shut down by OSHA or some company like that .It look like they pay there way out of there problems.
